Max level of 85... How ?
Hey guys,

I'm playing the game and I really enjoy it, reminds me of Titan Quest the famous.

I have only one concern now : in some well-known H'n'S, you can reach max level without too much grinding.

But when I heard that max level was 85 in this game, and that i'm near the end of NG with a level 40+ something...

So i need at least to be in NG++ to reach it ? Really ? Doing the same game and same story 3 times ?

Or is there a way to be powerleveled or a special tip ?

If you feel that 50 hours of gameplay are not satisfy you, start NG+. What the problem? Do you want 150 hours of different content? From indie game? I'm just don't get it...

No that's not my problem, i just don't want to redo the story 2 times. I love having 50hours of content, when it's not too repetitive. And if i have to redo the main quest 2 times, it's repetitive. You understand ?

Its actually pretty standard for ARPG's to require you to run through the game a minimum of three times to get anywhere near the max level. Its a carryover from the earliest games like Diablo.

Not saying its right (or wrong) but its a standard for the genre.

ARPGS usually require you to run through the game three times, I don't understand why you expect something different, it has been like that since diablo 2 days.

I just don't want to redo THIS game 3 times to get to max level. It wasn't a problem with Torchlight 2 because i had the possibility to use dungeon scrolls. Not in Diablo 3 because it was fairly quick. But in this game it seems really long.

I agree with you that GD lacks that arcade feel TL2 and D3 give you, but when you get into games like PoE and GD, it is grind and slow progress, because game isn't about having ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gear and be able to beat the content, you actually have to farm, if you want to play self-found.

That's maybe why i don't really like this game as much as others. But it's really fun and nice to play. I think i'll try to find someone to PL me to 85.

Yes it is tradition and a bit outdated IMO. Especially in Path of Exile where end game is maps, so playing through the game 3 times is completely unnecessary. And then you have the mess which is Diablo 3 and they go to the extreme opposite end and have like 14 different difficulty settings.

They could have scaled normal mode to say 65 and have ultimate go from 65-85. Especially since the game would scale with you so earlier areas in ultimate would still reach 85.

PL is good thing but dont miss out on gears, because when you do by the time you are level 85 you will get 1 shotted.

I think its a lot worse in GD than PoE, because you can get to level 90 in days if you know "leveling builds" then you can get back to your real build around level 80.

But again after levle 90 in PoE you have to farm gears, just like in GD when you get stuck you have to farm gears, I agree that PoE isn't nub friendly, especially to people who don't do race competitions,

GD and PoE aren't as arcadey as TL2 or D3 though, also not nub friendly either.

Yeah i think i'll get to lvl 60 at least, then play singleplayer again. Is this even possible ?

Yeah perhaps it would have been better, at least finishing NG with lvl 60+.

If you want it the easy way out, I usually level at necropolis, bastion of chaos, and SoT until level 61, Elite unlike TL2's NG is very difficult, even PoE's cruel is much easier (at least mobs in poe only hit hard but don't have much defense capabilities) In GD, mobs are very resistant and gets higher hp as they level, so unlike PoE, you can't just care about defense but need to care about offense as well.

Wait? What? I am just reaching the Necropolis on my very first play-through (on Veteran), and I am level 51. You must have skipped a heck of a lot fo experience opportunities.

Doesn't work in this game. If at least one member of your party is not getting experience (because they are > 10 levels above content) then no one does.

Path of Exile and Diablo 3 make you redo the content 4 times. Just saying. Or they used to anyway, I've not played either for some time. At lease in GD you have a few choices at points where you can make other choices for different outcomes on your next play through.
