What to do after the necropolis ?? (Potential spoiler)

I just cleared the necropolis and defeated the boss in the lowest level, reported my success to Creed and he told me that he needs to think of further step e.g. destroying remaining monster, recusing Ugrim.

Is there anymore main quest after this ??

Nope. You can clean up any sidequests you might have, or start in on Elite difficulty.

Is level 55 suitable for Elite or just continue to improve gear on normal?

Also, do I keep all the money and items (both inventory and stash) if I start Elite?

you keep all items/money and everything in all stashes if you start elite. Elite tends to be started around lvl 50-55 so you should be more than fine. Try to make sure you found all devotion shrines in normal so you wont have to return at least (think its like 23 or something?)
