Bastion of Chaos Tips&Tricks?

As the title says I'm thinking about taking on the Bastion of Chaos with my commando and just wanted to ask what I am in for.
What I'm especially interested in is damage types so I can alter my gear for the according resistances.

Cthonic rifts are filled with cthonic enemies :) Expect a lot of chaos and fire damage with some vitality sprinkled in. If you're playing on Hardcore as your first play through I would recomment a Normal mode character first to go and investigate/learn about areas and bosses before potentially sacraficing your hardcore character to the unknown. But maybe that's the fun part for you, either way glhf :)

Thanks for the tip, just finished my second run (after 1 failed attempt with low chaos and poison!!! <- those ugly slug-like ♥♥♥♥♥ :D)
It's really fun especially as a meele commando with a lot of aoe and procs.

But the loot was really disappointing compared to SoT; Got 3-4 epic throughout and 2-3 at the end of SoT whereas here I only got 1 epic at the end both times. -.-
