Broken weapon symbol?

Just curious what the broken sword symbol is that sometimes appears above the chraracters head during combat? It only lasts a few seconds and im assuming it represents some kind of exhaustion or something, since theres no weapon repairs in the game that i know of? Just wasnt sure what it mean and was curious if anybody knew?

I am most likely wrong but I believe it's an OA debuff?

edit. My bad OA is "Offensive Ability".

It's just a debuff, don't remember which one exactly but that's what it is. Same as the shield icon above your head, meaning less armor.
