Grim Dawn Multiplayer with 8 players
So right.... MMO to many players to much grinding feels like the world never changes, but on the other hand there are thousands of players in the same world which in some way is cool.....
ARPG max 4 players, there are no inbetween i reckon they should create an option for a higher max player would be one of a kind and id really enjoy.

What are your thoughts?!

EDIT [15/02/2016]

Id like to see more than 4 players something around 8 seems fair and reasonable for an action role playing game it would also mean that if people like my self decide to have a LAN party we could actually jump in and all play the game togethor considering who has lan with 4 or less players?

It would deffinatly make it one of a kind and something id really like to see in the game.

As i started to get a few comments on this i see there may be Modding support when the game is actually %100 realised so even if the devolopers dont decide to make this happen i do believe the modding comunity will do so.

Modding would bring so much to the table for this game and im keen to see the game complete! :D Happy gaming!!!

If the devs will implement this idea they should also rework items as well since every player that joins the game increases the game difficulty.Squishy build can get one shot on ultimate by it.
Just a thought
Well it is good the more players that join the harder it get it only makes sense i cant see an issue grim dawn would have if there were an extra 4 players except not enough monsters on the feild but than again with the defficulty higher as more joins it kind of evens out..

This is what brings good memories of Diablo2 in its prime days:
There would be a few people pvping outside of the Rouge Encampment.
A couple standing around trading.
One person on his way to farm Mephisto.
Many other variations within a single game instance.
Not to mention everyone being on the same page; rampaging through the levels.

Eight players always seemed just right moving on to more MMO style games like Guild Wars etc.

Raising the max players for Grim Dawn would be cool but seems that the game would have to convert heavily on multiplayer focus. Whether or not this particular game engine can actually handle it might be another issue.
well its something i really do want to see! every time i have a lan we cant play rpg's cause theres always more than 4 and 8 seems like a really good number!

One more thing.
If a future mastery includes skills that target allies, eight player games would surely benefit from this.

There has been some talk that even if they don't increase the player size people are going to mod it into reality so one way or another you will likely be able to realize your dream before long.
i hope it happens either way it world make this game explode!

well it still wouldnt be a "MMO" a "MMO" definition is MASSIVLY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE.
anyway I don't see to much trouble in adding four more players. I don't care if they do or not.

4 players vs 8 players would generally effect level design (or at least it's should).

Diablo 2 failed to do this in some parts of the game such as maggot lair.

If they smart about it, they would make it 5 players(DOTA2 biggest game in the world atm, next to LoL).
So you get a lot of cases where you need that one more space for a friend to join since they probably be playing one of those two games anyways.
You don' t need to touch the scaling pass 4 players though, see 5 as the magic number/bonus slot.
Ps. missed the special, again.

You might take a look at The Red Solstice for up to 8 player co-op sci-fi RPG. Granted, it aint Grim Dawn or Diablo but it is still a great game.

Already able to have at least 7 set as max number of players through unofficial methods, having tested this myself. Can't yet comment on the stability and im sure the difficulty level would not be balanced for that many players.

I could see 5 players on Ultimate maybe being ok. :steamhappy:
