*classic targeting? in settings menu
I tried both on / off for that option and honestly I couldn't tell any difference. In both cases, if a boss is surrounded by its summons, targeting system will always prioritize the summons because they are closer & their hit boxes are blocking the direct view to the boss, which is OK because this is how this targeting system is supposed to work.
However, in most of the similar games there's also a locking mechanism where once you have target, you press a button to lock your focus to this target. This is not needed for KBM because mouse gives you that ability, but for a controller this becomes necessary. If the boss keeps summoning trash mobs, it becomes very difficult for a ranged low-defense build to do any damage to it if such target lock system isn't in place.
unsure if that's intended or not, or the game just can't cycle through targets manually other than left stick direction+distance, or devs simply didn't consider it altogether :tiwithink:
i'm sure Z will spot this post, since he seems to see them all, but you can also always pop in a request/feedback thread on the official forum https://forums.crateentertainment.com/c/grimdawn/ideas-and-feedback/16
Stop right there, I don't see this leading into any constructive path.
