nothing needs to be forced, i mean i can be like everyting else, enable or disable by checking an option like everything else in options
I tried the mod once. It was horrifying.
Add rainbow filter in game by default and don't make it toggleable? I will hate it with extreme passion, stay this idiotic rainbow cringe clown fiesta for yourself, if you like it
That already exists, its called a mod.
Yeah I know, but like why? It exists as a mod already its already there for anyone who wants it.
Barrier to entry is higher, you have to know it exists, you have to be able to find it, for someone not technically adept installation is non trivial.
You also have to install it on all devices you want to use it on manually or your experience is inconsistent.
When there's an update (e.g. 1.2) it breaks everything, mod needs to be fixed, original maintainer might've already lost interest (see GrimInternals) so someone else might need to take over, that person might release it on a different place, so now whenever you look for the mod, you will first find the old, non-working version instead of the current one that works. Or the new version of the mod never releases at all and you are done.
It's also not possible to enable/disable the mod on-fly.
I would say all of that is quite huge list of disadvantages compared to dropdown menu in options which will take literally 10 seconds to turn on/off the mod whenever you want, at least from user experience point of view.
