I need pro help
So I build my two first lvl 100 char, doing well in all ultimate. One Druid (two handed lightning) and a Deathknight (physical forcewave). These were very easy to build by myself, just stack dmg, and get resist and DA OA, face tank the expansions. But when I tried to start with a nightblade I there are so man different dmg types in the abilities, I have no idea what to do (for instance the upper row of abilitie). Do you have any tips you can give with few sentences for getting started with a fun nightblade build (rather not physical, pierce builds)? I really dont enjoy complete guides, I like to figure things on the go, but some tips in the start would be appreciated.

Nightblade excels at pierce and cold damage, so the first step would be to pick which one you want to focus on.

Pick a main damage type and run with it. Cold or acid/poison are the most common. If you want to do the dual wield, top line wps type of build, find the Monster Infrequent swords in the area just past Homestead with the bugs. That will get you started. Pick a second mastery that supports your chosen damage type. You will probably have a mix of damage types for a while depending on what gear you find. Just play it for a little while and it will actually become straightforward.

You can put a few points in ABB to see if it's more your style and switch it around later if you prefer that skill.

going cold nightblade is the easiest, you can spam pneumatic burst for HP and regen, and shadow strike pretty much one hit any monster.

Cold.

Use ABB and Lethal Assault to start off and play around a bit. It is a great leveling skill. You can always pull points away from it later.

Acid/poison also has decent support from nightblade skills. Oathkeeper is a good 2nd mastery for a straightforward dualwield acid NB.

For a cold build i had lots of fun with a reaper (necromacer as 2nd mastery), using twohanded weapons rather than DW in that case (ABB and bone harvest as main damage sources)

Piercing damage is also easy to build, using soldier or Inquisitor as 2nd mastery.

nightblades are a bit like the rogue class from titan quest.
depending on second mastery choice and, of course, gear they can do pretty much everything: melee, caster, range, and even some kind of summoner.

the most straight forward way for nightblade is propably dualwielding melee doing either pierce, cold or poison/acid dmg.

i hope you already know www.grimtools.com. if not, there is no better site for theorycrafting your build and potential gear.

Cold/Lightning/Acid Cadence, Elemental Blade Ark, Elemental Forcewave, or Shadow Strike, Phantasmal Blades.

lightning cadence, elemental blade arc elemental forcewave, what the frack is that kind of recommendation for a *nightblade* incorporated build @_@
that's some horrible stuff "imo"
*specially more so to a lesser experienced player, since outside cold NB has horrible elemental synergy, and goes worse with cadence mechanics, and much worse if not using specific fire Nightblade items
