Sigh, read the patch notes if you're going to post in their thread.
"Health and Energy Potions have been removed from the game. The character now has potion skills baseline and does not need to keep them in their inventory. Dedicated potion buttons have been added to the Quickbar."
(I've already finished all the game's expansions on normal/veteran)
Did I by chance lose any skill points by not purchasing them before beating the base game?
I don't know if this is a bug.
No, you can only buy them on either Elite or Ultimate difficulty in the Forgotten Gods content.

Insofar as it was clear that I have disabilities, and I was upset that you'd changed a major aspect of the game , I want you to think of people being a bit angry, not to feel bad, but to take up the lesson: you probably *could* have kept the same visual component of the UI, while making the change you desired. If you didn't/couldn't, it should have been called out, and a workaround provided - because some people with disabilities like your games, and you should want to avoid causing them undue pain. It matters. Maybe other things mattered more - I get that! It's the lack of workaround that really miffed me.
There is a workaround, but it's not obvious. Each potion has a letter command - E and R.
Okay: go into options, and keybinding, map E to E and 9. It will warn you: quickslot 9 will be overwritten. Don't worry - assuming you want 9 to be "health potion". The 9 space on your quickslots will be blank - not even the number 9! - but again, don't worry.
Same thing for energy: map the keybindings to R and 0. Same warning: "Quickslot 0 will be reset" and, the 0 space on your quickslot bar will be blank.
9 and 0 will then work for your health and energy potions, just as they did in the past. It will look strange, but it will work, which is the main thing.
You can map them to the quickbar again with v1.2.0.3. No special treatment required. (note, their position on the quickbar does currently reset between sesssions, this is a bug we will address in a future update).
A cosmetic glitch to report. This path is blocked, but there are two objects that can be destroyed, so probably shouldn't be blocked?

Then you're not coming back often enough. 1.1.9.7 was back in December last year and 1.1.9.8 was in June this year.
Which mods in particular? Grimarillion, Dawn of Masteries, D3 Classes have all been updated to v1.2. Reign of Terror isn't yet, not sure when that's going to be done.
