Need Help PLS: Quest Dermapteran Egg Cluster

Hi Guys :D
I have a problem with the Quest in Homestead: Destroy 10 dermapteran egg cluster near Homestead. Cant do it, i have been through all fields (west, east you name it^^) around Homestead a couple of times (sry my english). I have been in that hole in the field far west a couple oft times, killed all and everything. No quest stars are showing in the map. Ulgrim is already in Homestead standing on the balcony (and aparently enjoying the view of me struggling XD ). And all gates are open.... What am I missing??

Go to the menu and come back. You are not soft locked. Drama Queen Yes, soft locked no. I had to log out and back in a number of times for a quest the other day. It happens. The game has gotten plenty of attention.

Go to the menu and come back. You are not soft locked. Drama Queen Yes, soft locked no. I had to log out and back in a number of times for a quest the other day. It happens. The game has gotten plenty of attention, are you daft or something?

Out of curiosity i did a few runs with high lvl characters on normal mode to check infested farms for egg clusters and indeed i found none.
Without cheat engine it would take a while to test if indeed you can soft lock yourself by hard levelling before completing this quest (and using cheat engine could change the results) and the closes character, i have, i would use to do it, is the one i killed krieg on lvl 10...
Maybe its a new bug with location levels being higher on normal mode in 1.2 or maybe indeed its an old issue. Either way, don't dismiss it without testing anything yourself

Yeah, this is not helpful. If only thing you have to add to discussion about bug is "it works for me" it's usually better to stay silent. It didn't happen to me either, it does not mean that there isn't some rare case where this might occur.

Verify integrity of game files and try again.

If it persists, you can either file a bug report on Crate forums. Or you can send your save file to Crate support, they usually fix the issue.

Also no, there is not "so many bugs", there are barely any bugs, most of them are patched almost instantly if they are somehow reproducible.

was this a char that had already cleared Normal/the quest on that difficulty? because then it's normal/intended: the eggs dont' spawn in that field after you clear the quest

Sadly yes, but i remember desroying some eggs after finishing this quest, but i dont know if it was on this field. Either way, i have an excuse for a run with a new char :p

I agree that anything is possible, but the guy is spouting off how the game is buggy and that it hasn't gotten any attention, when we all know the game has gotten plenty of attention and I haven't noticed many bugs. Not saying something didn't happen to his game, but I'd bet my life I could log into his game and finish that quest. He didn't come here asking for help, he just wanted to be a jerk by reviving a thread from 2016 to back up his claims of how bad the game is. He could have easily just said he was having an issue.

sadly, what often happens is people have "an issue" reads a thread title/part of OP, but doesnt' read anything else, and think it's the same issue and responds (partially because dumb steam feature doesn't retire X years old threads), even if it's not the same issue or otherwise unrelated/inaccurate
and there likely *is* a solution to the necro post, or an oversight/something that was missed, like the later reply of eggs not spawning if the quest is completed on the difficulty could have similar elements present in the complaint, but necros rarely care and just wanna drive-by vent, so possibly take it as somebody venting

maybe they have not updated their game? to the latest version?
it works, and it's worked for MULTIPLE characters without issue,
i remember in the earlier days having the issue, but now i don't anymore, hence, it was fixed on the 99.9% global scale, since this topic IS from 2016
