They also want a break from the ARPG genre for a while and to have several IP's out there so they're not relying on just the one franchise to bring in the cash.
TBF, I can't blame them, I'll just jump back to Titan Quest and tbh Farthest Frontier does look damn cool - had it on my wishlist a while, hadn't noticed it was by them.
Agree there. The best thing Van Helsing has going for it is its voicework honestly and Victor Vran is just bland, soulless, boring. For me neither has the replayability factor that GD has.
Agreed. I would recommend trying last epoch though, been loving it lately.
I've not found any mobs in GD that smashed me in one hit though...I agree The Ascent is pretty cool, I need to get back into that, the aesthetic is amazing and the gameplay was solid.
That only happens when people neglect defenses like resists, and make the typical newbie mistake of investing too little in the mastery bars and thus have too little hp
Similarly to most other arpg's to be honest.
Yeah, I heard about that. I tried Wolcen (for my sins) as well, having had it recommended during a sale - it was awful, had to mute the character voices as they were driving me mad.
