Don't let the Dev's know this! LOL
I'm still using it on my 61st level Conjurer in Malmouth.
It isn't OP anymore at that level and area, but is very necessary for my needs.
If it gets nerfed, then I'm up a creek without a paddle.
If any changes do happen, make it drop in higher level areas or make it a higher level requirement. 😊
There are few early game components that work well for fresh characters. Unfortunately nothing lasts forever in Grim Dawn but it is good that are having fun in the early game.
LOL, I am running a pet build, (yes I am a very lazy player), so skill cooldowns are less of a concern when Kreig has to hack through 10 heavily buffed pets to get to me.
On a side note, have they heavily increased the component drops in one of the last few patches? I last played the game about a year ago and don't remember having stacks of 10-20+ components even before finishing act 1.
With the massively increased drop rate, your stash would fill up way to quickly if they didn't stack. I just need to get over the "save them until they are useless" mentality.
i feel like people forget the notion of "cannon fodder" enemies,
or relative level/strength for X level, and "what a component does"/how it actually works thus the "it drops off in effectiveness pretty quick" reminder should set in
heck if you're a pet build in this case it's probably gonna drop off even earlier than usual
Yes, with a million pets you can mop the floor, but one AoE you don't notice can cause you a world of hurt.
I mainly use my Devil Touched Ammo to raise the devotion level of one of my devotions, since I lack the regular skills to do it.
At the 61st level the mobs don't fall like fodder anymore.
My point with the Devil Touched ammo was that it gave you a huge spike in power no matter your build. I am sure there are other attachments/items that will get more powerful later on. And in no way will I ever make a build based on a single item.
I just see that when you add a single attachment and see a 100% increase in base damage, as well as an area effect spell that does about 800% damage, it appears to be a tad OP.
