on Ultimate overcaps is kinda wanted, to deal with debuffs, ie 80 might not be "enough" on Ultimate
aside from that, guns/enemies with guns don't just deal pierce dmg
many deal physical dmg too, so if your armour rating is crap or phys res sucks, it's gonna hurt. And then ofc you just simply have ranged enemies with other/additional dmg types fire, vitality, aether dmg baked in their shots too, like the fleshwarped gunners etc
it's probably the physical part then. running around in elite atm on a sorcerer with low physical resistance and basically whenever i hear a gun or crossbow half of my hp is gone.
i think the other/older sites are gone?
I'm beginning to think my game is bugged then, because the only shrine on the list that it actually in my game right now is the burial hill. Everything after that is just not there when I get to the location
This list? It looks right to me as far as I remember. All the "FG" marked shrines are not in the base game. If you're having trouble finding the shrines themselves, use https://www.grimtools.com/map/
https://grimdawn.fandom.com/wiki/Shrines
you sure you're in the right spots?
- i did a test run, and the act 1 shrines where there as supposed to
*like i mentioned it has notes if a shrine was added in expansion, so make sure you're not mentally counting the marked/orange or FG notified shrines
https://imgur.com/a/ApumlP6
if you are certain you're in the right place, i'd double check that, then maybe try verify game files, or even full reinstall if it borks out/shrines don't appear ingame
that's literally not what there was said
the base game, and expansions have different devotion amounts, expansion increases the limit from 50 to 55, you do not need expansions to get all devotions, you just need to go to the *correct* devo shrines on the appropriate difficulty Normal/Elite/Ultimate
which the Wiki then shows/tells which are in base game where and on what difficulty
or do you think people played without being able to get the basegame max/50 devotions, and Aom 55, for 3-4 years before Forgotten gods/the 2nd expansion got released??
if you bothered to actually read the wiki you'd notice something
base game has 59 total devo shrines; and the limit is 50, ie 9 more shrines than max total points available
AoM has 73 total devo shrines, and the limit is 55, 18 more shrines than needed
Forgotten gods has 157 devo shrines, and the limit is still 55
^this is because skips were introduced so they added more shrines so you could still get the points if you skipped
Pretty much this. There are also plenty of Elemental Guns aswell which purely deal Elemental damage. Or Acid/Poison which is also Magical.
Only if you want the 5 Bonus ones yes.
However the expansion make is alot easier getting all Devotions because you can almost get all 55 in Normal Mode if you complete all DLCs and get all the Shrines.
People who have the expansions get meaningful access to far more devotion points than people who have the core game. I say "meaningful" because while you can get the max amount with the base game, you need to clear all three difficulties to do that, while people with the expansions simply don't. This is pay to win to me.
I'm not complaining about the game as my experience has been pretty fun so far, but I think I'm just done with it now. I cleared the game twice I don't need to do it again
Well, glad you enjoyed it while you played.
How is a steady leveling curve pay to win ? DLCs make the game easy yes but its a "choice" people "can make" for themself. Even with the DLCs you can still play as if you dont have them.
In fact most of us Veterans do that. We play the base game on Normal then we skip Elite and jump right into Ultimate. Except me i do everything on normal with a character. If the character cant manage ll the content on normal without bitng the dust its not worthy going into Elite let alone Ultimate.
