Single Target DPS focus Demolitionist?

Super new to the game, playing with a friend is pretty tanky and does AoE. I chose Demo thinking I could try and focus on high ranged single target dps. Currently level 19 and have been focusing on the auto-attack skill line.

Are there any tips to build/change the demo to do more single target damage? Not even sure if it fits their style since I see a lot of explosions and AoE focus on the tree, but again, I'm super new.

Any tips would be helpful.

Grenados are single targets iirc.

Do you specifically want to focus on single target? Because it's not mutually exclusive with AOE. Demo deals very good damage both to single targets and to groups.

You can try melee demo/nightblade focusing on firestrike, but it's an utter pain to level if you're new. Or can try a demo/occultist ranged build. It's not quite as explosion-heavy as normal demo ranged builds are.

It's AOE. But a small one.

I'm okay if I do AoE damage, I just wanted to see if I could focus on higher single target damage to help melt bosses faster to pair with my friend being a tank/AoE type build.

I took arcanist as my secondary a bit ago thinking the IEE skill would be helpful once I got dual pistols, but then realized my partner is doing the same. So if I can do grenado as mentioned or just pure demo, that works too.

I also understand we aren't playing hardcore, so it really doesn't matter probably. Just seeing what I can do.

Sorc with gun should be fine. Though I highly advise to explore other skills - you picked 2 classes with some of the most spectacular spells in the game.

As for IEE - chances are it doesn't stack from different sources. But I'm not sure.
