You want to reach your final devotions fast, but effectively. So, this devotion needs 3 points to unlock and gives 5 blues. Great! except its 3 unlocks really boost fire and chaos, and im a shaman electrical caster. Ick. Oh, that devotion takes 4 points to unlock, but it gives some stats and resistances, much better for me and also gives 5 blues when completed. A better choice.
Just take your time and look around. Many builds are good for the same devotions because of the great benefits, like warriors and physical/gun attacks always get the Kraken Devotion because it boosts attack speed and all-damage, so it pretty much will benefit any melee/gun
2 handed build you can make. Doesn't matter, attack speed and all-damage will cover it all.
Just like an electrical build usually tempest and spear of the heavens due to the nice lightning boost, plus a few extras i think cold/aether for a little extra. A good shaman electrical build is good with cold and lighting so always nice.
So take your time, look around, you'll learn.
What you need to understand is that devotions can supply their own affinity requirements. All you need to do is put 1 point in Crossroads green, complete Hawk or Quill, then respec out of Crossroads. The completed constellation will help fund its own requirement.
Yeah okay dude, thanks for that. Real helpful. Excuse me for trying to learn the mechanics of a game through resources that are out there. Buzz off.
Thank you to the people who weren't rude for no reason and actually offered input and help. <3 Cheers.
Do I respec devotion points at the same place as skill points in devil's crossing?
Remember those builds your looking at are usually level 100, you aren't going to get there for a VERY VERY long time. So pick devotions that benefit your character. When you get maybe 25 devotion points invested, THEN take a look to see where your going, what can be changed, etc.
Play the game a while, have fun, don't worry about such and such builds, etc. You can always respec stuff later skills and devotion wise, isn't hard.
You don't really even need to pick your 2nd skill tree right away. You'll have plenty of points to fill in your main tree.
1) Get your main class tree up to max level 50 asap. Get those stat points built up to wear gear that you need. Put 1 point into any skill that you plan on raising later. AFTER you max out your main class base skill points, THEN start raising up skills that your going to use a lot. Don't worry about your 2nd class selection until you get your main class up and running so he survives easy. So if your going to be a soldier/shaman 2 hander, with physical damage. Since soldier handles the physical, and usually shaman is more a 2 handed electrical build, get your soldier up to 50 base points, pick 1 skill of the ones you plan on raising later, then once you reach max level 50 in soldier base skill points take a break and figure out what your final build will be.
Don't worry you'll have fun, thats the main thing. You don't need a perfect build, you can change stuff later. Test it out, see what skills you like, what you don't like. The only thing you can't change are your 2 class selections, so don't be in a rush to pick your 2nd one. Develop your main class, THEN later pick your 2nd. I usually don't even pick my 2nd much later in the game. You might change your mind on your 2nd after you play a while so don't just pick one to pick one.
