What is the difference between the launch options?
I get the difference between x64 and x86 but how does the blank Play Grim Dawn option differ?

The "blank" option is just regular x86.. the other x86 (that you referred to) is more notable for its use of DX9, for older hardware.

- 64 lets the game map out more memory
- 32 is exactly the same but will only use up to 2GB of memory
- Legacy renderer is for older graphics cards that can't run the other modes

So 64 is the best and legacy is for legacy cards if you can't run the game otherwise.

You can set this in the launch properties of the game (right-click then Properties) to launch the game on 64 every time (but depending on how you launch the game it'll still ask you):

/x64

If you want the full course on Intel/AMD 32-bit versus 64-bit CPU architectures, here's a random article I found https://byjus.com/gate/difference-between-32-bit-and-64-bit-operating-systems/

So I understand that the:
1) x64 is the best one (for x64 and best hardware from these 3 modes)
2) x32 is badder (for x32 hardware, or badder hardware then the previous one)
3) and the x86 is the worst (for the oldest hardware)
?
It doesn't have to be exactly how I wrote it, I'm just wondering if I get the point?
Otherwise, isn't there a fourth "without x"? I think there was something like that.

32bit and x86 is the same thing.. they tend to get tossed around interchangeably. Basically if you have a somewhat modern system in the past 10 years it is x64 so you will always want to use x64 versions of any games and applications if available.

You do! I'm not sure what "fourth x" you are talking about though.

I already know, I have these 3 menus where x32 is not marked:
1) "Grim Dawn"
2) "GD x64"
3 "GD x86"
Something like that.
So the 1st one is probably x32, but I don't really care. I'll be playing x64 from now on ;-)

I thought the 1st is system auto detect... I hope I have not been playing x32 since I am really 64 XD

The first option is, indeed, just x86. Overall it's not really that big of a deal. Choosing x64 simply allows applications to take better advantage of your x64 capabilties, primarily where your memory (RAM) is concerned.

You would be hard-pressed to glean a noticeable difference between either option in most circumstances.

64-bit is the way the game was intended to be played, since there are certain concessions that need to be made in 32-bit, primarily that the Obsidian Shard mobs can't actually do full damage in 32-bit because a 32-bit unsigned integer caps at a mere 4.3 trillion damage.
