Stack? You mean proc? Yes.
Yes. Fire Strike is an auto attack replacer and basically is an enhanced auto attack. Busting Round is what's called a weapon pool skill, and they work with any enhanced auto attack (so they work with Savagery and Righteous Fervor too).

Then there's skills like Primal Strike with Thunderous Stike, Dreeg's Evil Eye, and Callidor's Tempest. While you can replace your auto attack with them, and thus can call them auto attack replacers, functionally they're just spammable skills and thus do not trigger weapon pool skills.

Basically if your character attacks with auto attacks in the animation when using the skill, then it's an enhanced auto attack and can trigger weapon pool skills. They usually aren't very flashy and just look like auto attacks for the most part, but Fire Strike is a bit on an exception when you have Brimstone.

How do you use enhanced auto attack or does it just happen if you didn’t one hit kill your target?

No I meant stack. Since they are both based on basic attack I thought.

It procs off most default weapon attacks (like fire strike) So, in addition to your fire strike attack your character also has a chance to shoot bursting rounds.

That’s pretty cool. Ty guys for the info. Theory crafting and trying new builds is a major reason I love these types of games and Grim Dawn has a great mix.

Any of the "basic attack replacer" skills like Fire Strike, Cadence, etc. . . will have a line in their description that says something like "When used as your default attack. . ."

To use them, you need to go down to your skill bar, right click on your left-mouse-button basic attack, and select the skill to replace it. So you never use "basic attack" again when you left click, you use Fire Strike.

An interesting effect: if you have Storm Spread from Inquisitor and Brimstone on your Fire Strike, Storm Spread procs 3 projectiles and each projectile splinters into Brimstone fragments. Basically, you get 3 times as many Brimstone fragments every time Storm Spread procs.
If you have the pass thru enemies from Chilling Rounds, it's probably more interesting. I haven't played Purifier since the pass through update, so I'm not sure what exactly happens now.

This. That's why they're called basic attack replacers. You could of course map it on "1" and use it there, but I don't think many people do that lol.

I like to map ranged auto attacks/auto attack replacers on right mouse, so I can attack without having to hold shift to stay still. Then I like putting "Move To" on left mouse so I can move past enemies without accidentally attacking them and getting stuck in the animation when I needed to reposition.

With an item that let's Storm Spread pierce it's even more spectacular. Basically a single Storm Spread can kill weaker mobs with it. Both of the items that have that effect are endgame though, in case you were wondering which items do that.

Or better yet, OP, you can put it on right click, and change your left click to "move to" so that if you ever get mobbed hard, you can run away without accidentally shooting stuff when you're trying to just move.
