Why did the developers never offer an infinite stash option for players to collect items?

because mods/tools exist, some people would even protest/dislike unlimited stash since it removes that feel when storing only most needed items is important.

It should be available in the game, with no need for MODS, and if you don't like it, you simply don't need to use it.
It would be enough to add in the options "INFINITE STASH ON/OFF".
Simple like that.

No, you don't understand. When someone wants a feature added to a game it's a trivial amount of work (and is definitely always possible within the confines of a given game engine). Trust me, I've read enough threads across enough games. It's always "so easy" to add.



That said, in all seriousness, GDStash is an awesome tool. I highly recommend using it if you wants more stash space.

If you don't like the finite stash, you simply don't need to use it. There's plenty of room on the ground.

They don't offer options for all tastes, and I consider that a mistake.
Developers who care about gamers offer as many configuration options as possible, from gameplay to visual customization.
Creating inventory limitations in a game that encourages item collection, as is the case with all RPGs, is a big mistake.

oh noes, a game studio/devs had different design visions in mind than all the players and didn't implement every all those features they should have according to the players that didn't get what they wanted, no game has ever done that before or since - the audacity of these devs

Unfortunately, we make the game's features to be suitable for the vast majority.

I use GDStash when I play. Doesn't mean I think the game should feature it baseline.

And yes, I think this game that came out 7 years ago will survive without you.
