in Cadence's case it's even more so, where you want 1pt cadence and maxed deadly momentum (3rd node) asap
For Righteous Fervor you can plop more than 1pt in the main skill, but it still doesn't scale that well early game, because low weapon dmg on player side
auto attacks/default attack replacers usually pick up in strength around character level 40'ish since by now you have the points to make the actual AAreplacer and wps investment good enough, with passives/flat dmg buffs to boost weapon dmg
which brings us back to "what to invest in", either other levelling skills entirely, or low invest the default attack replacer+wps, while taking passives that boost global dmg
if you're using a shield maxing Safeguard early is good, if you're going Cadence as mentioned rushing deadly momentum is good, Fighting Spirit passive buff proc is useful too
correct on the Cadence part, except it's not a chance it's guaranteed, every 3rd hit using cadence is the cadence hit
for RF tho all attacks are RF hits, there is no alternating unless you're using other skills, RF is just charge based so instead of counting up/down to the trigger hit like Cadence, it steadily scales dmg as charges built up, but it's still an RF hit right away from charge 1 continued to max charge 6-8-9 and then just maxed it's dmg built up from then on
