Riftstones used to grant the Glyph's Chaos Strike before FG shifted item movement skills to the medal augments. I assume it was important to the character. Of course if it was important the character can now be twice as powerful and less of a hackjob thanks to Rah'zin and other item support...
Chaos strike is a big part of how I play my character, whether that is good or bad I don't really care, without it ,doesn't feel like my character.
If you wanted it to deal Chaos damage specifically, then yes, you would need a specific Blueprint, but if movement is the primary concern, that becomes available very early on.
I understand that it's frustrating to lose a skill you liked, but with the addition of movement skills in Forgotten Gods, we had to consolidate where movement skills become available so you don't end up with 4 or 5 of them!
Blademaster, Shadowstrike, Blitz, 2x Riftstone/Chaos Strike -i can't tell you how much fun i had with this, pre FG, just zippin' my way through stuff with a dw weapon swap set that had 2x rift stones slotted: "have zoom, will travel"
i was super excited with the prospect of getting a fifth on medal with FG
Thanks for the reply, it was more about the burst damage chaos strike does I had setup around.
I look forward to exploring Forgotten Gods once I finish up Ashes. It's been over a year since I stopped playing so may take me a while to get my bearings.
