Tyrant's hold? Jagged Wastes?

I seem to have skipped these on my map. Lvl 40 and at Darkvale rift.

How do I get to the Jagged Wastes? Will there be a quest from Homestead later on about it or something, or are these areas completely optional?

Looks like Pine Barrens is accessed from Prospector's Trail via detonation site.

Optional but there is a shrine there and a good amount of xp to make

it's a very interesting area to visit though. on elite and ultimate, there will be a blacksmith in the fortress at Tyrants Holds that will barter rare materials (like tainted brains etc) for legendaries. Other than that, it's a quick area full of bosses and a shrine. You go there by going south from homestead, you need dynamite (2)
