Can't pass Smuglers Pass?

Clearing the whole pass, getting to the barrier that clears when you kill the boss of the cave but he's nowhere to be found and the gate can't be interfaced with.

Anyone have any thoughts? I'm at that quest to go past it to get to Homestead but can't find anything else that may trigger anything.

Sounds like a strange bug.

If you start a new game session and this happens again, try verifying the game files through Steam or running the repair tool in your Grim Dawn game folder.

So you went thru, Cronleys and went out the back.
Then you followed the path to Smugglers pass and went in and cleared the pass all the way up to the Troll boss, but hes not there to defeat to unlock the back gate.
This is a bug. As suggested, do the area again (wont hurt as some folks farm this area for the blueprints) and if it appears again, I would submit your game file to the devs on the GD bug forum.
