A false positive with the same exact name as one of the most popular Trojan? Yeeeah, no. Besides, Malwarebytes ain't the kind to find false positives, that's avira's job.
I'm also a game dev so I know how easy it is to sneak a file somewhere without your coworkers noticing, let alone Steam who doesn't care about that sort of thing.
You're really bad at what you do, then.
What kinda scan do you do? When doing the "complete" scan with the license version, it tends to split its resources towards multiple areas the free version doesn't have, and lose accuracy in the process since customers don't really want their scans lasting for days.
"All games are thoroughly scanned by Steam before they ever go public. Including a virus would also be a sure-fire way for us to doom the company.
It's a false positive."
So bassically why the ♥♥♥♥ would the Devs ruin their reputation/game by putting a virus in their own game?
The full licensed version Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and I do a weekly complete scan and do an update before I do that scan. I renew it every year when it runs out, I don't run a PC on the Internet with out it ever...it does not take days but it can take most of one day to complete the scan. I use Windows 7 as I have not bothered to get the free Windows 10 upgrade yet because I don't really see it as an upgrade.
I don't think you understand. OP completed the first TWO chapters of a very well received C++ book. The devs and everyone else must be wrong.
Maybe i dont understand but, i use Malwarebytes as well and have not had a single issue with GD or anything for that matter.
Honestly im not sure what you mean by "OP completed the first TWO chapters of a very well received C++ book."
Not the best PC guy here but i have had no issues and i use the same stuff and so do others. i mean false positives are a thing.
He's trolling, don't mind him.
So just to be sure you were able to figure out it was a false positive? I hope so as i really doubt Crate would purposly rek themselfs by adding a virus. :)
You downloaded that bot from somewhere else and it attached itself to the first file you opened.
YOU are briliiant.
