Avoid poison water areas, which are optional to the main quests?
2. No. I want to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ walk around where I want to.
No, really. Git gud. You can easily get past the water by increasing your movement speed and healing yourself.
FTFY
If you aren;t paying attention to your Mana and HP meters, and they are dropping fast, no one to blame but you for not paying attention to them. In Softcore or Hardcore. It's amazing how many HC players have gotten through areas with poison water, or been intelligent enough to avoid them, and finished the game in HC, because they know to pay attention to their Mana and HP meters, no matter what is going on.
Also, grow up a little. Even 6 year-olds don't act like that.
Your stats and resists mean nothing to that stuff, there is no protection from it (apart from a couple of boots that will give limited protection for a time against it)
If you cannot safely traverse the poison water then hardcore will absolutely not be for you to be honest
I think you meant to end with "give me one reason to return to the game btw ..... not give me a reason not to.
I also do not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ intend to read wiki ahead of playing to see which areas have hidden ♥♥♥♥ like this, OR playing the entire game on softcore just to find the instakill ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Not all water is instakill, so how am I supposed to guess when I am going to run into a patch that kills me in 3 seconds, regardless of MAX RESISTANCES and a huge hp pool? There is a lot going on in the screen, this stuff kills way too fact to react.
So stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ justifying this ♥♥♥♥, it is not justifiable. As for returning the game, I guess that goes without saying.
Thank you for one decent answer. The part about resists meaning nothing is the one I am referring to, if I was running around willy nilly and died because I have zero resists, I would shrug and restart the game.
The water is NOT poison, and NOT acid, and not anything remotely connected to game mechanics. It has no reason to work like this apart from laziness.
Reread my last sentence, I wrote it correctly.
Perhaps in your old age, your reflexes are just not what they used to be. Getting old sucks, old man.
Health and rejuv pots were instant full heals BTW. This was kind of not ideal solution (too easy), which is why games nowdays do it differently.
As for your derailment:
- IM has a really obvious effect, you died maybe once to it and that was that.
- Dolls can be handled easily.
- Fire was handled by mercs/summons if you didn't have enough tankiness yourself.
- I had no problem with gloams, ever.
My reflexes are not the same, no. This has nothing to do with my point though. Game should be internally consistent, this game has a LOT of damage types, yet they introduced this mechanic. Why exactly? What is the point? It just pisses of people, and this game does not have such a user base to grief users like this.
