Depraved Sanctuary? (*SPOILERS*)
I just completed the mission quest where I had to kill Warden Krieg and it seems like I'm moving to another area of the map. I noticed that there's 2 areas on "first" map area that I never got access to. One is called the East Marsh, I think, and required dynamite charges to open a bridge and the other was something called the Depraved Sanctuary that required a key. Are these areas opened later and will require me to back track to them? Or did I miss something? I'm especially wondering if I may have missed the key for the Depraved Santuary. Thanks, and please keep any answers spoiler free if you can but if not no big deal.

The key drops randomly from Cultist enemies. East Marsh requires one dynamite plus some iron and scrap to repair the bridge. You'll have to backtrack for East Marsh but the sanctuary can be unlocked in the first map area if you're lucky.

Thanks. :2016popsicle: I'll probably go back and try to grind the key before heading onto the next area.

Warning to those who read past this point: Much Spoilage Ahead.

Did you kill Direni in Devils Crossing? He also gives you a key if you don't kill him but since he's a d-bag I usually kill him tho he has some value later on if you keep him alive.

Farming the cultists outside Depraved Sanctuary usually doesn't take long tho occasionally it can take a number of tries to get it to drop.

East Marsh I tend to save until the very end of the storyline since there are some quests you can do at that point and I like to get em in one go.

Besides those two locations here is another secret area in Act 1 you may have missed - Hallowed Hill
http://grimdawn.wikia.com/wiki/Hallowed_Hill

Plus you may have noticed in The Flooded Passage a spot requiring dynamite..

This leads to the Sunken Reliquary

And lets not forget the free content added prior to the Crucible, a quest chain titled the Hidden Path whose initial quest is hidden away at the very beginning area of the game, in Lower Crossing. It also requires dynamite.

And lest I forget there is also another hidden area in Lower Crossing, Hargate's Isle, which can be found and partially explored right at the beginning, it contains access tho to a much harder and higher leveled area that you won't gain access to unless you farm reputation or if you just acquire rep normally you will likely gain access by around early Elite difficulty.

The initial Hargate's area is a good spot to run thru once with a new character and earn 2-3 levels right away for about 10 minutes of your time. There's a bookcase you can smash in the building and if you get lucky it may drop a higher level lore note that gives you a fat chunk of xp. (I'm not talking about the default Hargate's Lore note also located in the same spot, by the by)

Thanks! I did kill Direni so I must've picked up the key and didn't notice; I'll double back to the Depraved Sanctuary and check. I did notice several paths blocked by dynamite, including the Secret Area and the one in the Flooded Passage but I'm not sure where to get any but from the Wiki it looks like they're all available in Act 2 and 3 which is what I suspected. I also know that I missed both the Island and the Hallowed Hill. So I know what I'll be doing with my Witchblade tonight while watching the Olympics.

Running thru Cronley's Hideout will usually net you plenty of Dynamite.
http://grimdawn.wikia.com/wiki/Cronley's_Hideout but you can find it in a number of places in Act 2.

Sunken Reliquary, East Marsh and Hidden path have 30+ level monsters, in case you didn't know. I started doing them after killing Conley.

Ugh, having a little trouble farming the key. Been outside the Santuary and the Cultis's Lair twice already. Third times a charm I hope.
