How do I get the Gate to open

At fort IKON I'm in Act 5 I think on top of map...

what gate? regardless just progress the quests everything opens when the time comes.

Do I have to backtrack the quest I didn't do cause that makes me go back to Homstead doing quests i did months ago.

Did you do the armory to kill the rebel general and find the explosives? If that is th egate you are refering to.

Or are you referring to the gate near the portal? If so you will get a quest later to go in it.

if you got to fort ikon you completed the campaign quests needed for it. you don't have to do the optional quests in Homestead if you don't want to.

look at the campaing quest (with star near it), what does it tell you to do?

I'm level 36 now and those bastards still don't give me quests I uninstalled the game and installed it againg thinking it's a bug I know this was patched at one time I'm using a save file froml like a year or so ago. I'm Friendly with the NPCs not sure what to do. Every youtube video shows people walking right though the Iron gate.

what NPCs? what iron gate? the small one near the portal? you need to progress the quests and get a quest to enter there. its optional location anyway.

there is a big gate you need to blow to get to the next area. what about your campaign quests? you should get a quest to go to fort ikon, did you complete it?

I figured it out I had to gain REP with the Black Legion to friendly in order for the quest w/ Creed to appear as a Star on the quest log. Either that or I had to reach level 36, NPCs talk to me now at the Ikron fort.

The quest is a Forgotten Evil

Before that I could talk to Creed he said he would meet me up North but the Quest never got started.

Either that or the Tomb from the Kazorras from Act III boss wasn't in my inventory and I moved it in the inventory.
