C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\vcredist
Then go into the "2013" C++ Redistributable folder and install the x86 file and then the x64 file. Run the game and see if she fires up.
Both of them open up with "Repair" or "Uninstall".
Doing both (reinstalling after Uninstalling) does not work either.
I can run x86/x64 both with Vanillla, AoM, and FG, no problem, on both GOG/Steam installations. Other than the fact that I have FG my game version is exactly the same as everyone else currently.
If so, you need to whitelist Grim Dawn, sometimes after updates antivirus programs may like to "SILENTLY" block you from running the game.
These are the locations you would whitelist if you do have an AV installed:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn
C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn
Don't just "disable" the AV, that usually won't work. It has to be exclude/whitelist in the AV settings.
If it isn't an AV issue another thing you can try is to:
Go to C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\Settomgs and edit the options.txt file in this location. Change the line:
UPnPEnable = true
to
UPnPEnable = false
And then try again.
