So yeah, you're gonna have to improve your build if you're getting one shotted on normal/veteran. Utilize components. Build up your reputation by continuing the campaign in elite. Then you can eventually get augments from the faction vendors which help immensely for resists. Sacrifice some of that damage for survivability. Cap all resists, put most of your attribute points into Physique, and get more shrines for devotions that will also help immensely. The devotions you want depend on your build, so idk which ones you should go for, but they help a lot.
Feel free to post your build. Upload it on grimtools and post it here and people will give you some useful tips to help you survive. But yeah, the biggest thing is to get out of normal. Normal difficulty rewards are trash.
Also there is a legendary smith in Tyrant's Hold that spawsn in Elite/Ultimate difficulty that can craft you random legendaries. It's a gamble, but still another way to get purple gear.
And yeah, that sucks you still gotta climb up. You should really just host some SR games and hope someone joins that can make a higher waystone, then you play through it, and you can make those waystones. Climbing up that high yourself is mind numbing. I remember me and a friend climbed up to like 30 when we first got the game, and it burned us out so bad we stopped playing for months before I eventually got the itch again lol.
Feel free to add me if you want and I can jump into softcore and get you a higher shard waystone sometime. Then you will never have to do lower ones ever again.
Do elite difficulty. Chapters 1-4 are not difficult. You should notice a big difference in drop rates. Higher risk, higher reward. I do SSF all the time and usually start elite immediately after chapter 4. Just get in there and go for it. I you aren't dying, you aren't learning the game.
This game has so many items, it can take a long time to get something specifc.
Shattered realm normal won't help IMO.
I'm a shattered realms noob who doesn't mind help could I maybe get your help in there?
