You can use |<< and >>| (most keyboards have these buttons) to skip around the tracks without exiting the game, or alt+tab to select a track from the list if you need to.
Do note, however, that the above mentioned way is the easiest way and what you honestly should do in the majority of cases. But if you find you'd rather override the game's music directly, or change the game's actual sound effects even, then you might want to read thru my below guide..
