Ancient Grove
I have tried it thrice now, dying twice in the Trial of Corruption and once by some hero. Every time, I died too fast as to be able to analyse my failures. Oh well. Back to the drawing board and also to increase surivability.

I have gone through the other three dungeons and come out alright.

How do you rank the dungeons in difficulty? For my Witchblade (It is almost a pure soldier build), I find it the hardest.

how fast you killing one hero monster? you can just use ather cluster if you not have enough room to move around.

Not very fast I'm afraid. It takes some hits, I use a mixture of Cadence and Blitz.

is not bad choice of skill but i think you need some crowd controll skill, zolhan or curse of fraity maybe. just avoid going near red stone that shot out many bolt, of course you need at least max chaos & aether in there.

Post your build using grimtools. It will be easier to see what is missing.

and on a side note: i'm curious, how would you guys rate the difficulty of the 4 different roguelike dungeons?

Depends on class but undead one is generally easiest, then cthon & aether pretty close to each other, grove is the hardest (probably since it's expac and all expac content is harder than vanilla).

From easiest to hardest?
Steps of Torment > Bastion of Chaos > Port Valbury > Ancient Grove
I usually don't have problems with the first three but there's always the threat of dying in the Ancient Grove even before the final boss.

Difficulty in my perspective -> SoT -> AG -> BoC -> PV
RodHull Jan 13, 2019 @ 5:34am
Difficulty really depends on your build, Gargabol will spread your cheeks if your melee character without water tight defenses and no casts to rely on for damage, if your a caster your golden then hes one of the easiest. Likewise Alkamos will tear you a new one if your a squishy mage without immunity skills or high sustain and melee characters so long as you have good cold/freeze resist can often facetank him comfortably.

Theres two danger points in AG, the teleporting aether corrupted big cat boss thing whos name escapes me if your not prepared for her she will destroy you in seconds and the trial of corruption is a challenge for lots of builds, sometimes i kill gargabol first then go back to it if its with a character i think might die.

You're right, I was killed by the red stone, I could see my health on a downward spiral. Is that vitality or chaos damage?

Every resistance is maxed out.

Sadly, this is my first character from two years ago, it has undergone great changes, from a poison caster to a pure meleé type. It could do the first three dungeons and some of the nemesis without issues. If only I had gone for a warder build. I was a bit too focused on damage, now, I am reluctant to change for more hp and OA which are a bit on the low side. Anyway, I am using this character for farming, it farms reliably and it is used to farm set items for my other level 100 characters at present. It can be improved with a few more set items.

I found something today which helped a fair bit.

Thanks for the offer anyway. Mainly searching for ideas as to what damage the red stuff in Trial of Corruption deals. Chaos or vitality. :Uranium::Uranium:

SoT is easiest, as long as you quaff a hoarfrost and dont insist on bathing in his puddle. AG is entertaining, but biased towards casters (Crate and their volcano obsession). In terms of sheer annoyance nothing can beat PV, not even BoC. I ran PV 100+ times to get the MI, I guess I'm traumatized for the rest of my life.

DEATHSTALKER!!!!! He gets me quite a bit if I am not careful.

There is few real dangers (read mechanics that kill character even with maxed resists and not jsut regularly overwhelmed very quickly) in AG - aether shoting basilisk where you need to hide behind pillars regularly. One manticore hero that deal massive physical damage and poison dot. Nemesis if it spawns there. Last boss in 2nd stage with lot of fire/burn around and posisbly debuffs too. Challange room vary a bit on heroes that spawns but easy to get owevhelmed.

Take potions for stack extra res and lower harm effect durations to mitigate most of this.

Otherewise I consider AG by far hardest of 4 rogue dungeons. Depend on char ofc., my summonenr breezed through without harm on 1st try, but my Commando finished game already prior couple of tries for beat AG. (talking about Ultimate)

Easiest to hardest for me:
1) SoT
2) PV (almost as SoT, its jsut freaking big)
3) BOC
4) AG
