Mouse only controls?

I have played games like Diablo and Torchlight with the mouse entirely, and I wanted to know if I could do the same with this game. I cannot use any hotkeys in Diablo and Torchlight, instead, I click on the actions in the actionbar. Is it the same in Grim Dawn?

You can play with mouse only, though it is a bit clunkier than using mouse and hotkeys. But if one hand is not working well due to my arthritis and tendonitis, I can still play by clicky clicky clicky only. Makes it way harder to spam skills though.

You might have issues popping off potions and abilities as quickly as you would like but yea you can do that.

Hmm, I should add having an 11 button gaming mouse does make it less traumatic than a 2 button office mouse. Some gaming mice have nice profiles you can set up for specific games, that let you bind hotkeys to mouse buttons. But not all of them, usually. Which is fine if you are running a 2-4 skill only build, and only need 6 buttons for skills and pots.

Its worth noting that you can bind 3 abilities to the mouse wheel (up, down and press). That should make reliably casting a few abilities quite a bit easier regardless of what mouse you use.

This game has a great control scheme. Mouse and KB, just Mouse or KB and fully operation controller support. It has it all. enjoy

Works pretty much the same as Torchlight 2 in terms of abilities. If you can do it in Torchlight 2, you can do it the same way in Grim Dawn.

If you only want to use a mouse, you might want to invest in an MMO mouse. They can have 9-12 buttons on the side. I use one for Grim Dawn and it helps since I suck with using abilities on the keyboard beyond 4 abilities
