how many pets can I have? +other question
I just started a pet build out of curiosity last week and I ended up liking having a personal army and wanted to expand it more now but I don't know what the limit is. At first I thought it was three but that was just for my skeletons so right now I have 7 pets.

If I lifesteal/convert damage to health, would that also heal my pets? I'm not sure how the healing works with these. I only have a totem and a passive buff from the shaman

nope
pets need their own lifesteal, or you need to grant them lifesteal buffs, like Blood Pact from wendigo totem
you can also heal them with aura/buff heals like wendigo totem (short range), or ex blood of dreeg
other than that you can attach proc heals to them from ex devotion - when a devotion skill is attached to a (true) pet it becomes the pet's proc, so they gain the benefit (or scale the dmg), which means if you attach ex wendigo devotion to skeletons or bat etc that has heal/lifesteal procs they will heal the pets

There is an achievement Pet Hoarder for summoning 18 pets. There is no hard cap on pet number as far as I know. It depends on character skills and equipment. There are items that allow you to summon more than one pet, Revenant constellation can summon up to 6 skeletons. Shepherd of Lost Souls set adds +3 to summon limit of skeletons, and Wendigo Gaze medal another +1, allowing you to summon 14 skeletons.

Now i'm even more anticipated to get an army going. ty ty :mhwhappy: At first I thought there would be a limit for resources sake. I was also wondering which constellations to pick so that clears it up too

I think those constellations would be the better picks as I'm a shaman/necromancer right now. Thank you for that answer too for the healing :praisesun:

I corrected a few mistakes in my post. I mixed up +1 summon for +1 to summon limit on Mask of Lost Souls, and Undead Legion gives you +7 summon limit when overcapped. So it's:
Raise Skeletons - 3
Undead Army - 7
Shepherd of Lost Souls set - 3
Wendigo Gaze medal - 1

Yes, legendary sets in Grim Dawn are extremely fun and exciting to get! And you are right about resources, Cabalist with his army of minions affects preformance considerably.

I chose Revenant mostly for another 6 skeletons, which is a cool addition to my already impressive army, and of course for resist reduction coupled with Curse of Frailty. For survivability I use Ishtak, but Tree of Life is a good healing source (I chose it for my Hardcore Riualist (Neromancer+Shaman)).

worth to note, that as a true pet build, revenant skeletons don't scale off your pet dmg like regular necromancer skeletons do - revenant skeletons scale on player dmg because they are pseudo pets
