Linux Multiplayer Issue

Hello,

I know the game doesn't have official support for Linux sadly, but hoping someone else has perhaps solved this.

Everything works fine besides multiplayer - the moment I pick "Host Multiplayer" and press Start, the game freezes. Can't click anywhere, it's just stuck.

Using nvidia driver 470 and Proton 6.3.8 version

I haven't played the multiplayer yet, so can't speak from experience. I looked over the ProtonDB page for the game, and someone else mentions there that the game freezes when trying to host MP, but it usually just takes a few minutes to un-freeze.

Have you tried other Proton versions? GloriousEggroll maybe?

Hmm I'm not familiar with github or how any of that works, so I guess I will try another version of proton tonight after work. Hopefully one of them fixes whatever's causing the game to hang.

Another Version of Proton often does the trick. But just in case (or if you need it in the future, because sometimes games don't work with the standard Proton versions):

On the Wiki page, it also has instructions on how/where to install it. It's really much simpler than it may sound.
