Whats a good second class for arcanist

Necro has some aether elements. But if you don't limit yourself to aether, arcanist can pair with almost anything.

I was thinking with necro but my friend says base 6.6 k hp is low for max lvl

I started as an Arcanist earlier and I ended up crossing him with a Nightblade. I don't have any particular plan. Suggestions welcome. Was really planning to focus on the Arcanist's abilities for offensive purposes and make myself a hard target with the Nightblade's ones.

Umm, spectral binding gives you flat health. Gear gives you shtload of hp. And devotions can grant some as well. I would say that's a bad reasond not to try it.

Pick Occultist to go with Arcanist it was a crazy experience for me. WOOT!

Necro would be the best bet for aether focus, hell you could swap into an aether/vit focus and go for drain essence for your single target dps. just keep in mind the energy cost is massive at later ranks, aound 100 use per second at 16/16. use spectral binding/wrath is good, at 12/12 wrath gives -33% vit and aether, while binding gives 1175hp and 88 OA. or you could do reap spirit, it gets 70% weapon and 270 aether at 16/16 it's decent damage.

Occultist arrcanist is chaos focus, not aether. so you're kinda telling him somethat that he doesn't want. soldier would be best bet otherwise if you didn't want necro, might be some mythcials that convert cadence to aether damage. easy to convert it to pure elemental and just run the elemental balance line on arcanist.
