Reap spirit necro

Is this skill worth taking if i focus on skeleteons? Is the summon strong on highest level? Can i summon more than 1 pet? Casting damage is low because i don't invest any points in my own damage. Is there anyone here with high level necromancer that can answer this questions?

I use it on my Drain Essence build, you can have up to 2 Wendigos when the skill is at lvl 17 and I believe you can even get a 3rd once you reach lvl 24 with the skill. My build doesn't support the spirit very well, so I can't speak about it's potential dmg output, but it does provide bodyblocks and stuns when it charges.

It can summon 2 at rank 17 and 3 at rank 23, though you need to cast it 3 times to get all 3 out.

Eventually a summoner tends to need more skills with which to proc devotions - in which case Reap Spirit is really convenient. Some damage (if you have aether/vit bonuses), a pet-scaled pet (you do have pet bonuses), and it has a 6-second recharge meaning it will have 100% chance to activate any on-hit devotion I can think of.

I personnaly get 87% activation chance on Mark of the Wendigo. I believe you can reduce the coodown by 3sec with the Diviners set and another 2sec with Mythical Aethereach gloves.

I'd probably put Wendingo's Mark on something more like Curse of Frailty, Devouring Swarm, or Ill Omen. Those all hit multiple targets and "hit" again once a second or more - lots of chances to activate.

As a Cabalist summoner myself, was also wondering if the skill was worth it or if I should invest the points into other skills instead.

Well so after some testing it's not worth for summoner. Skill damage is obviously weak. And you can summon only 1 pet per cast. And this is a big no no for this skill im my opinion. Pet lasts only 10 seconds and has similar damage to 1 skeleton.

And to activate devotion skills i use ravenous earth. It hits multiple targets so it can trigger very often. Plus i can spam it.

1 skill point for 1 skeleton's worth of damage is better than spending points beyond the first in Undead Legion.

no, it's equal to a skeleton at rank 16/17. and hitting 20 points in undead legion is very useful, far lower cd/cost and a cap of 10 skeletons. why use 16 points to get another skeleton instead using 12 for 4~ and having 4 points for another skill. only thing the spirit gets is a stun which WOULD be useful if it didn't die after 10s.
