Voice Acting
I feel like this game could be so much more atmospheric and be of much higher quality if there was an actual decent amount of good voice acting.

This game has been so succesful, please pay some people to get some lines recorded, the story isn't presented in any other way than by text. It's just not immersive, even though I love this game, it could be a richer experience for not that much extra work.

I though voice overs are the strong point in this game.

Every story NPC has full VO, so not sure what you mean.

Side NPCs are a different story.

now it be great if all npcs lines (not just story lines) and maybe even journals; Since were dreaming here were voiced. However that costs this thing called money, probably quite a bit of it. They have to decide if that is the best way to irmpove their game and sales. Likely there are other things they can add first that will improve the game and its sales far more. Not to mention every batch of new content they make in future gets more expensive to make because they have to keep the voice acting consistency for every part of the game.

The voice acting that is in the game is pretty darn good. Some of the best I've heard in a while.

I admit it would be nice if they could for the lore notes... they could probably even get away with hiring one good general "narrator" for all of them... or maybe one male, one female depending on the lore notes perspective/gender.

I like that female NPC in Homestead that sounds like a dude talking like a chick. If the chick that voiced that is reading this, whats up dude. :Prinny:

+1

A great idea, would be cool if we had a full voice over, even for the side npcs. I think you all agree that it would make the game even more atmospheric ;)

Voice acting is expensive. Not the first thing I'd want to see that much budget go to in a game like this. Even giant games like skyrim end up with like ten voice actors for the entire game because it's expensive to have people voice characters. I would agree with the lore note thing though. It would be amazing if there was a narrator character to read the notes while you play. Overall though the voice acting they have is just fine, though I usually just read ahead and skip a lot of dialog anyway (and that's how you end up finishing the main story without ever knowing you're in the last dungeon XD)

This game already has more voice variation than Skyrim does.
As far as I can tell, only Bourbon is fully voiced. Everyone else who actually does speak only says the first two sentences of their text, or just the greeting. Voice acting is actually very inexpensive and in a lot of cases completely free. There are entire websites and communities of aspiring voice actors who do free work in exchange for crediting. So unless having very few voiced lines was planned from the beginning it's unacceptable to cop out with "It's expensive".

"Full VO" Not at all, most say the first two sentances of their text. The only exception I've seen thus far is Bourbon and the Dr.

Jarvis, Captain Bourbon, Kasparov, Barnabas and Mornay in the first town alone...
