+1 Summon limit to Raise Skeletons -- Anyone found it?
Has anyone came across any items that add to Raise skeleton summon limit. I know I have found one... and one only. I just hope that there are more of them out there. I mean my necro doesn't do much attacking because doesn't have the chance with all the pets but being stuck with a level 12 weapon through out most of the game then going back to where I got the it the first time to get a level 28 version kind of makes me doing any extra damage where it might be needed a little more difficultt and rather pointless. but it would be nice if there was more items with that ability attached to it.

In contrast I have found several items that add to other so called "pet" summon limits but so far have only came across just this one for the necromancer.

If you desperately need one with the bonus just kill the Warden however many times until his MI drops.

one of the sidequests in bloodgrove spawns a ghost that can drop the spectral crown:

might be a worthwile target for farming. the base item alone already looks pretty solid and i think it could easily surpass any epic (and most legendaries) if it rolls with good affixes.

EDIT: doesn't add more skeletons, though.

EDIT EDIT:
grimtools can also show you a list of all items that have skill transmuters - pretty useful. here's the list for "raise skeleton" skill - some of those items also have +1 (or more) summon limit:

I've actually managed to get my hands on the weapon that the warden drops. but that's the only one that I have came across. Started out with the level 12 version, then went back and managed to get an upgrade to level 28. and that was on normal. don't want to have to carry that through the entire game just to keep an extra possible source of damage.

Thanks for the info. there is a few possibilities out there. Looks like I am going to be using a green weapon for a good long time lol. and it really is to bad that they've only put this on weapons and not on armor. or even in an off-hand weapon choice. all though I will admit that adding an extra skeleton does add quite a bit of damage.

I also have a green sceptre I looted that has +2 skele / +1 limit
Schutzengel Oct 19, 2017 @ 8:40am
You can only get a combined +2 summon limit for your skeletons from items. There are two 1H weapons that raise it by 1 (you need dual wield) and a (legendary, 'reapers') 2H scythe that raises it by +2. The absolute maximum is 12 skeletons. 3 by default, 5 through 'Undead Legion', 2 through ultimate 'Undead Legion' (you need ultimate rank 8 from 10) and 2 from items. There is also a headgear that allow you to raise 4 skeletons per cast. Another item has a possible modifier that ups this limit to 5 per cast.

Max: 12 skeletons, 5 raised per cast; hope that helps :)

Theres only the Warden MI weapon at low levels the rest are all level 94 legendary items.
HellSlayer Oct 19, 2017 @ 9:34am
I found on green item at low level.. maybe at level 10... later at level 50 I found another green item with +1 to max skeletons.. so 9skellies in total. Never saw blue or purple item that does that.

Can you start finding legendary items at 90 and only in ultimate or something?
iCeDrAgOn Oct 19, 2017 @ 10:31am
they start to drop once you've reached level 50. on difficulty level, but the higher the difficulty to more likely you're going to get a legendary drop

Oh wait yeah nvm, woops forgot legendary was the purple items doh, is there any item rank above legendary at level 100?

No. You just get Mythical versions of items when you get over level 75. Mythical applies to Legendaries and Epics. There are also new versions of MIs, prefixes and suffixes up to level 94.

Can you tell what is mythical version? Just a drop from elite or ultimate difficulty drop or what?
