are the dlc worth it overhall ?

how good is a summon only build ?

what is the necromancer capable of outside of his summons ?

#1 I would say sure, it's more then worth their full price.

#2 it can be fun, I like my two, though I got bored of the summoner around the end of the first playthrough, the vitality melee one though, is entirely dominant, until she runs into something immune to vitality damage, never did figure out how to get around that, probably just missed something in the tree somewhere.

#3 it works, but like all pet builds in any ARPG, it gets boring as all you do is sit around and watch the pets go.

#4 has options for poison/(acid(I think, been a while)), cold, and vitality damage, what second class it chosen would change what skill you go for.

DLC is completely worth it. Ashes of Malmouth as a big expansion to the campaign along with 2 new classes which are both awesome. Forgotten Gods, to me, is meh. 1 new class a campaign i cannot give an opinion on because i never bothered, though you do gain access to Shattered Realms, which is a gauntlet for loot.

Get both. You will not regret it.

I never tried the necro class but the others DLC , I liked . it's so worth . I played a lot of games with a lot of DLC that felt useless or gamebreaking . but the dlc from grim dawn,damn that ♥♥♥♥ is gud XD .
I liked the story,I liked the gameplay . Honestly it's worth 100% but I really suggest to buy during a sale because everyone have their opinion about games etc .

so i bought the dlc and im already digging that necros summons change equipment when i lvl them instead of just doing more dmg

i also wanna use a scythe for a grim reaper cosplay should i upgrade physical for more dmg or cunning for crits ?

or should i just rely on necros buffs for his weapon and only go as far to be able to use my weapon ?

can be a main dmg mastery
can be a passive support mastery,
can be a mix of the two
can be made into lulz and memes
you have 5 direct offensive skills to use, 2 passive weapon offensive procs, and regular passives and buffs that can be used in a multitude of combinations with themselves or other masteries
you have other skills ex granted from items that can boost necro and benefit from necro skill effects or passives
you have other masteries that can be combined with necro which can then mix skills or buffs
you have conversion items that can convert dmg types into other dmg types adding an insane exponential amount of possibility use of necro skills, summons or not

pets run off their own stats specifically called "bonus to all pets"

best recommended approach is to put most attributes points into physique when leveling, - only put into cunning or spirit what you need to wear items, you can then respec later
cunning doesn't really boost crit and crit dmg as much as many beginners think, and physique offers good defensive stats
that said neither approach is mandatory so you can do what you wish and enjoy the most
