Edit: just found this:
https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/arcanists-overload-and-pets-is-there-dot-stacking-from-multiple-pets/84123
Was originally going to be using bleed (I rarely if ever see it used for pets) and then going with lots of pets to keep lots of small bleed amounts stacked. But I suppose if its as I suspect I could just go with like 1 briarthorn as it won't make barely any difference having 1 vs a whole gang of pets.
Be careful what pet build you play! Sounds stupid right?
But having played LOTS of pet builds I can safely say most are boring but safe. The only pet build I've played that's genuinely fun (and funny) to play and engaging is a Diviner's/Bys Trinks Cabalist.
So if you don't want to be put off pets for life - go Diviner's Cabalist 1st. ;)
signed Pet Lover (in a respectful way ofc)
Bys pets is awesome. Mine is a Conjurer instead of Cabalist and I went all Lightning with the dual Odin's Ravens. I don't have Diviner set, if I did I'd try a Cabalist too.
For the Bleed Pet build I think you'd still want to have two pets. Briar will be your primary source of bleed for obvious reasons, but there are multiple devotions you want to run and you probably would rather automate it with the pets. You probably want to use Rend, Blind Fury, Living Shadow, Howl. Howl and Living Shadow don't go on the pets so you put that on your support skills Devouring Swarm and Curse of Frailty. Then you put Blind Fury on the Briar, and Rend on your other Pet. Or alternately use a third support skill and put Rend on that, then if you can fit Falcon Swoop in (I think you can combine all these devotions in one build) on the other pet.
That's how I'd do it I think.
Yeah I have played them before one of my original characters pre release AOM was a shaman/occultist pet build using the beastcaller set, a little while after AOM came out i had a reasonably strong skelemans build, but I just never found either engaging. I toyed with a diviner build for a while but never enjoyed it really, tbh the only reason I asked was cause i like trying to make weird build ideas work and bleed pets is not something I ever see done, probably for good reasons as it turns out lol
