Turtle Shell dosnt work?

Hi.
I picked up turtle shell from the ascencion tree and assigned it to a skill, its leveling up, but i cant tell if its working. No icon appears on the lower left side of the screen when i reach 50% health, nor does it seem to shield me at all. Could it be bugged?

not bugged, just a crap devotion, has a generic proc icon (gold orb i think?) and the effect is consumed in less than a second

What skill though? Skill need to be active to proc devotion.
I haven't used it in a while, but i remember it working fine. Not saying it made a lot of difference, but at least it proced consistently.

if you have Turtle Shell attached to something like Menhir's will or another temp buff or circuitbreaker with other/lower %HP trigger criteria you are basically hindering Turtle Shell proccing

Ah so the skill it is attached to changes how it works? Its attached to Ascencion, an activable buff from oathkeeper.

then it can only trigger when ascension is activated
and unless ascension was active when you fell below 50% hp turtle cant trigger

Yes. In that case, the devotion can only activate while you have ascension activated.

thanks, guys. I changed it to a permanent buff and it worked.
