Necromancer 2nd classes?

Haven't played since the game came out. Picked up the recent dlc and started a necro. Not liking the minion play but the ravenous earth is great. Wondering what are some good classes to pair with ravenous earth?

Currently I am trying nightblade for the aura poison resistance debuff and passive skills for some survivability, but worry if this will cut it in later difficulties? (I've never played nightblade, so not sure how well the dodge passives scale with level/incoming damage)

Maxed out ravenous earth with high +poison damage % is pretty amazing. Hoping it maintains its power into higher difficulties.

Also, are there any powers/skills/constellations that proc on the ravenous earth location instead of proccing on my characters location?

Well, that depends on if you're looking to bolster Ravenous Earth in its primary form or if you mind a little more gear-specific building. For example, the Blightlord's Hood changes Ravenous Earth from Acid Damage to Fire Damage, which makes it useful for a Necromancer + Demolitionist build. With the Corruption Legendary Axe, RE deals physical damage, which might be good for a Necro + Soldier build. Mythical Soul Catcher makes it deal Chaos Damage, so that's good for a Necro + Occultist build. A Conduit of Undying Whispers can change it from vitality damage to aether damage, which is useful for a Spellbinder.

There's lots of options depending on what you're going for.

Otherwise, honestly, I'm not sure what build is best for Ravenous Earth.

@Handsome Squidward pretty much typed it nicely, but have to add that I know two popular sets - one is the "Blightlord" == fire/vitality (Demo, Necro, Oath) and other one is "Dark One's Gift" == acid/chaos/vitality (Occult. Necro, Shaman).

So, pick your choice from there, that's what I suggest.

P.S. I also tried physical and aether and chaos versions but they are super hard to make and it would be far easier for you to just stick with basics for now.

And if you go with Dark one set, that set if from a secret quest/area only in ultimate and the drop is from only from 4 specific elite inside that area. You cant farm anywhere but there to have a chance to drop the set

I never tried posion Reaper tbh, but nightblade generally is legit combo, and has many other overlaps even if this one doesn't work.
