Default Weapon Attacks - Stupid refresher question
I'm not used to many of the classes and finally doing one that actually uses weapon attacks. Any skill that says % main hand damage, are those considered default weapon attacks?
Reason I ask is because my main class is necromancer, Reaping Strike for instance, if I have my left mouse button assigned to a skill like slam with a chipped claw, will it still have a chance to activate? Thanks

No. A skill has to have the text "When used as your default weapon attack..." in the skill description in order to be an auto (default weapon) attack replacer. Sometimes it's in yellow text, but not always.

Thanks, the game kinda answered my question with mixing bone harvest with reaping strike, the strike activates in the cooldown period for BH
Going with a cabalist anyone have any good experience with that? I also was going to go with a pyromancer - that seemed like a halfway decent build too but
Want to master one class at a time - had my fill of arcanist and AAR I'm thinking the game will be a bit harder on veteran without AAR, last was Arcanist/Necro but I didn't really use a whole ton of the Necro skills, this time it's my primary
Thinking of switching it to elite however I want to experience the natural skill progression without leveling too quickly in the first Act

Yes, if an attack placed on a mouse button has a cooldown it will automatically revert to default attacks during the CD, and those can trigger WPS (weapon pool skills) like Reaping Strike.

Never knew that before, nice tip. That will save me a hotkey.

Default weapon attack replacers from the masteries are Cadence, Fire Strike, Righteous Fervor and Savagery. There are a couple more from components and I think one from a relic.

On skills that have a % chance of happening on default attack, can multiple types of these skills stack? Like two going off at the same time

multiple WPS can't trigger at the same time, it rolls 1
regular "X chance on attack" procs can

doesn't matter that 2 wps can't happen at same time, you still want a 100% wps pool preferably, so you dont' do base auto attacks ever again

Should note that when Cadence activates you can't proc WPS on that attack. With all the others, it's just an added bonus to basic attack so WPS can always proc. Or at least it used to be like that, maybe they changed it at some point.
