Got that bored feeling for the first time yesterday.
I am at level 40 and almost 150 hours and have felt this bored feeling before and I know this feeling has taken me to other games, in past games. Any ideas on how to get around this feeling and move on and still have fun? Thanks.

level/play something you enjoy/find entertaining
up the ante and play on a higher difficulty, selfimpose rules for your gameplay to keep it interesting, like SSF, no cheese, cheese only, speed level, etc etc etc
or try some of the mods

if you're still in Act 2 you probably need to move on to Act 3. Somehow i was in Act 2 at lv 30-40 for the longest time. mostly due to lack of play, but Act 2 is a bit large and winding I would say. I sucked it up, did a playthru to completely advance through all the quests of Act 2 and had a bit more fun. Especially when I found https://grimdawn.fandom.com/wiki/Rashalga,_the_Mad_Queen

Yes I have been thinking of playing at a higher difficulty. What can I expect? I am not an experienced ARGP player and fear my hind end might get kicked. Maybe that's what I need??

Yes I am stuck in act 2. Like you wrote, I just need to suck it up so I can move on. Stop rehashing old plays to move up levels and finish my quest.
maybe, i can't say, i just know that some that find Normal boring gets more interested in the game when they play on Veteran or Elite instead
things hit harder, your resist are lowered (on Elite) so you need to balance your stats more carefully, and enemy density is a bit bigger, so you have more things pummeling you
and ofc if you then play Hardcore you only get 1 chance, since death is final

but if that's still not enough to get your GD groove back, i'd try out some of the other stuff mentioned
maybe you need a different skill, class, build, or maybe something else entire
- you can look up different skills, classes or builds on ex youtube
it's also why i mentioned mods, since there are some people that just get tired of vanilla Grim Dawn, but the one of the overhaul mods get them going again (most big mods requires expansions tho)

I want to get the DLC's but to cheap to pay full price, so waiting for fall steam sale. I know the DLC's would help. Will look into mods as well. Thanks for all your answers so far.

I also know there is this point for me at around 100-150 hours into a game where if I start getting bored its not good. Very few games have ever taken me past 200 hours. My list is very small. Much of that I attribute to my senior age. I see one day coming that I will never want to do this again and that's ok. But for now still having fun.

I play on Vet. definitely more enjoyable, because if i'm careless I'll die :D - it helps that I play a somewhat squishy build as a Saboteur (Nightblade + Demolitionist). I love kiting around things (kiting is basically "hit and run").

If you play a tankier build (anything with Soldier for example), you probably won't notice much of a difference between Normal and Veteran.

I'm still not thru act 6 yet, though I could hop over to Elite (I'm like Lv75 now), I want to complete it at Veteran before going thru the whole thing again.

For me boredom is often a lack of progression. Meaning I take too long to get the next level or whatever it is. Usually that means my build/skill choices don't work well to get through trash mobs fast, lack of AoE, lack of Damage etc. When I can just use a skill once and move one and stuff dies it's often very enjoyable cause progress happens quickly enough that I feel always something happening build wise. Also started filtering out almost all items, cause I don't want to waste time looking at rares, that also helps a lot, since reading 8 mods 10 times every time I kill a rare isn't fun for me either. But of course, might be completely different for you

What about the call of that sweet sweet loot!!! Here's a link to Grimtools[www.grimtools.com] for level 50 legendary items!

Some of the items are tagged for DLC's only, and those won't drop until you have them installed. Maybe you'll see an interesting weapon or armor piece you can try to get! I love searching for loot and hidden things in the game, maybe that'll also keep you going for a bit? Legendary items start dropping when monsters are at level 50+! You're so close, just a bit further...

I remember finding a level 50 two handed sword that was just an epic, it was the Razorleaf Glaive and that thing cut through everything omg (100% armor piercing!), so much fun!

You never know what awesome loot will drop that will totally change your build or play style!

I often start new builds as the ones I use get boring.
Just shelved a dual wielding dervish at level 42 as getting bored. Now building another shield warlord build and having immense fun.

I was feeling that, then I befriended a couple people in hardcore. Sometimes having familiar people to play with breaks the bored feeling. Now I'm like excited to get back on and finish normal difficulty because he's never been to elite. Or for both of them to be on so we can continue our 3 characters that we only play together. Of course, there's also trying builds you haven't done before. When I FINALLY after like 450 hours of playtime, decided to use blackwater cocktail, it was practically a game changer. I had no idea how good and fun to use a BWC/Grenado build is. It's amazing.

Yeah I got sick of my old dervish too, and haven't continued them since. That was like a year ago, and it happened in the 40s for me too. I think I pressed on until like level 70 though and just couldn't take it anymore.
