up the ante and play on a higher difficulty, selfimpose rules for your gameplay to keep it interesting, like SSF, no cheese, cheese only, speed level, etc etc etc
or try some of the mods
Yes I have been thinking of playing at a higher difficulty. What can I expect? I am not an experienced ARGP player and fear my hind end might get kicked. Maybe that's what I need??
Yes I am stuck in act 2. Like you wrote, I just need to suck it up so I can move on. Stop rehashing old plays to move up levels and finish my quest.
things hit harder, your resist are lowered (on Elite) so you need to balance your stats more carefully, and enemy density is a bit bigger, so you have more things pummeling you
and ofc if you then play Hardcore you only get 1 chance, since death is final
but if that's still not enough to get your GD groove back, i'd try out some of the other stuff mentioned
maybe you need a different skill, class, build, or maybe something else entire
- you can look up different skills, classes or builds on ex youtube
it's also why i mentioned mods, since there are some people that just get tired of vanilla Grim Dawn, but the one of the overhaul mods get them going again (most big mods requires expansions tho)
I play on Vet. definitely more enjoyable, because if i'm careless I'll die :D - it helps that I play a somewhat squishy build as a Saboteur (Nightblade + Demolitionist). I love kiting around things (kiting is basically "hit and run").
If you play a tankier build (anything with Soldier for example), you probably won't notice much of a difference between Normal and Veteran.
I'm still not thru act 6 yet, though I could hop over to Elite (I'm like Lv75 now), I want to complete it at Veteran before going thru the whole thing again.
Some of the items are tagged for DLC's only, and those won't drop until you have them installed. Maybe you'll see an interesting weapon or armor piece you can try to get! I love searching for loot and hidden things in the game, maybe that'll also keep you going for a bit? Legendary items start dropping when monsters are at level 50+! You're so close, just a bit further...
I remember finding a level 50 two handed sword that was just an epic, it was the Razorleaf Glaive and that thing cut through everything omg (100% armor piercing!), so much fun!
You never know what awesome loot will drop that will totally change your build or play style!
What class are you playing? some can get boring
my favorite atm is necro
Just shelved a dual wielding dervish at level 42 as getting bored. Now building another shield warlord build and having immense fun.
