EDIT: on second though, now that you mention diablo 3...
*initiating sarcasm*
I think you should go with that not this. Definitely.
also, this game is a steal when it's discounted, practically daylight robbery, just legal
If you dont want to play a game as a job go for D3 or GD. However D3 gets very repetitive and has the most limited gameplay of the 3. Very limited number of builds and abilities. Much worse than D2 or even POE based on the story.
GD is probably the best its like a cross of D3 and POE, you can play it solo nobody is rushing you with constant nerfs and meta changes. Good number of builds and abilities, best story of the 3 and doesnt get as repetitive as diablo.
Out of the 3 GD actually feels like a game for you to enjoy, not like a job or a chore. +Its on sale now.
Grim Dawn is the best arpg out there. Do not buy Diablo 3, it is trash; An empty shell of Diablo 2. Grim Dawn has a LOT of classes due to the dual masteries.
You will not regret buying Grim Dawn.
Other ARPGS like Diablo 3 or Path of Exile have so called leagues or seasons. What happens in those is that you start in a fresh economy with a fresh character (old seasonal characters and their stash get converted to the permanent standard season so there are not lost but new content won't be there).
The good thing about those leagues/seasons is they keep the game fresh and often bring new content or balance changes. They usually cycle in a 3 month period.
Also D3 and GD have very different gameplay. D3 is more simplistic, with limited build and skill variety. On the other hand it's gameplay is very smooth and fast paced.
GD has slower gameplay, but the builds are more complex with characters offering a huge variety in builds and usable skills.
Also, you might want to take a look at Last Epoch. It's another great ARPG that is currently in early access and sadly has no multiplayer yet. If I had to guess i'd say that will come in the next 3-5 months. But all in all it's the best ARPG right now in my opinion and might be able to become the only competitor to PoE in the future.
"Games being complete is not a bad thing," "games being complete is not a bad thing," "games being complete is not a bad thing..." GD is my favorite game out there OP.
Agreed...Grim Dawn is a great game. Although I like Diablo a bit better.
That sounds like an incentive not to buy. Maybe if it included D1 and the fanmade (I think) Hellfire expansion instead.
How you liking GD so far?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
