Can I change classes after I chose two already?
I just bought this game yesterday and im still taking my time learning things about the game. I saw the game had classes when I was browsing its menus but wasn't sure which to pick and earlier today I didn't know I had clicked two from a previous session. Im kind of stuck with occultist and inquisitor xd. Is it possible to change these two later? and are there self healer builds in this game? I like playing those :2016imnotcrying:

you can't change a class if you already spend one point on it.

What you have (Occultist + Inquisitor) is a Deceiver. This is a viable character, if you know what you are doing. Not something I would recommend to a newcomer, however.

I'd suggest putting this character on the shelf for a while, and creating something a bit more mainstream. Tell us what you feel most comfortable with ... melee, spell caster, ranged combat or pet summoner ... and we will give some suggestions.

Of course, 95% of those suggestions will be Conjurer. :steammocking:

I feel good with melee and ranged if possible, especially if it has aoes. I've been using two handed swords/axes and some inquisitor ice aoes so far although the melee doesnt benefit me :2016imnotcrying:

If you have the willpower to avoid cheating/ruining the game for yourself and can follow simple directions, you can use 3rd party tools like GD Stash to remove an unwanted mastery. But a Deceiver isn't useless; you might want to keep the character for later or just respec in a way that makes them work together.

OK, for melee, anything with Shaman is good if you want to go with 2 handed weapons. If you like dual wielding one handed weapons, then a Nightblade type is what you want. For ranged weapons, Inquisitor has a ton of WPS buffs.

Exactly what sort of gear, Devotions and skills you end up with depends to a fair extent upon what your second Mastery choice is. Check out the various skill trees to see what synergies there would be.

To be more specific ...
For 2 handed melee I'd recommend Warder or Primal Strike using Conjurer
Infiltrator for dual wielding one handed melee weapons
Purifier for ranged combat, especially DW pistols

^occultist and inquisitor both get a heal skill, and you can add additional "heals" on top via lifesteal, or ex occultist Sigil of Destruction

Thanks a bunch everyone, for now I've decided to stick with occultist and inquisitor to learn it more then later make another character down the line for melee specifically :praisesun:

Welcome back
1. you can change classes easiest with GD Defiler (takes 5min incl. Download)
2. what KG said.. some Deceiver builds are quite good :D:
3. Personally, I´d suggest to level Deceiver AFTER you have a solid SharedStash and some farmers

From my experience with Deceiver:
- BlackFlame Deceiver is oupii
- elemental Pet-build rivals Conjurer-Pet-builds - no joke! :brawler:
-> A somewhat limited, but very strong class-combo for Veterans.. DLCs are important(!)

Chaos Deceiver with Abbadoth's Sermons wrecks stuff pretty well. ~100% Vitality conversion, ~75% fire conversion, ~50% pierce conversion, even a little acid conversion. Rune of Kalastor, Sigil of Consumption, Doom Bolt, nasty Twin Fangs and Scales, 139 chaos RR if everything procs on one enemy, strong defenses.

It does require an assortment of crafted and MI items, though... but it can start to 'work' even in Normal/Veteran with a Bloodsworn Scepter and Abbadoth's Sermons.

You can easily rollback a class choice using GD Defiler, there's a ton of videos showing of how its done on youtube and its very easy to pull of

Nothing new about it, few games let you change your class once you've selected it.
