Ritualist pet build good for ultimate??
My second character is a ritualist pet build at the moment level 50 playing from start to this point on veteran difficulty without dying, so I think is good. My previous character is a spellbinder vitality (drain esence) build but against some bosses it's really difficult because the amount recovered is not as good or fast as the damage I receive.

That's why I decide to go for a pet build, because is a bit more "easy" and the ritualist can be more a tank with a lot of pets.

I want to try and beat ultimate difficulty so I spending all my devotion points in all that affect pets with the goal to have the all constelations that give big "%XX all damage", plus the tree for the increase health and health regeneration and the grimm for the extra skeletons summoned.

But I have some 3 questions are:

1.- How good a pet build is on ultimate?

2.- I'ts true that they aren't focused a lot on gear?, I mean basically anything that gives pet bonus (health/attack) is good?

3.- How many items that give a special summon exist? So far I have the "salvage relic" and a book that gives the revenant summon but I want to have as many pets as possible for fast kills.

I actually think the On Death summons do proc off pet kills. My ritualist does no damage, except by Wendigo Totem maybe, and i have a On Death pet proc up, quite alot.

Definitely did not on my Conj unless very lucky with one of the debuff with minor dmg stealing the kill.
Only time I could use the Cthon summon weapons and similar were with a decent player scaling pet (so not a true pet) or if I wanted a lot of aggro a damaging spell taking the kill.

Maybe the Necro skeletons behave differently if that is what you were using?
While technically they are a pet they do not show up on the left side pet management once summoned.

Yep i am using the skellies, so thats probably it.

Well at least that is another use for those skeles :)
Guys another questions about the pet build.

Does the damage that pets do is considered in the bonus "XX% of attack damage converted to health"?? or is only the damage that the character do??

But what about if I have the bonus and my pet are attacking. Do I heal or is my character the one must be attacking to get the bonus and heal?

you need the one attacking to get heal ofcourse, because the bonus not for pet but for your character.

The adcth are separate for summoner and pet and not interchangeable.
As an example look at Revenant devotion, you will notice there is one 'Bonus to all pets' and one that affects players and just says 6% of Attack Damage converted to Health.

The player 6% one only works for the player if they do their own attack, the pet one only if they do their own attack.
Same concept is applied to item bonuses/etc.
