Mod for starting on higher difficulty
I haven't played in a while, I remember someone mentioning there is a mod for where you can start a new character on a higher difficulty. When I play elite I'd like to play a different mastery.
Does this exist or

Easy to install and use, I used defiler, think I'll just start an elite game now.

If you have a character on higher difficulty and own Forgotten Gods, they sell an item that allows you to unlock higher difficulties. You only need to transfer it.

I was literally just reading online about this, forgot all about the merits. Duh

Hi so I still went with the mod, I wanted the least benefits as possible, the merit seems to give you many.
However one issue, didn't get the inventory bag from Not a Drop to Drink, I looked on the wiki and it seems you don't get the first inventory bag from Barnabus on elite? I'm thinking because it is a required quest and the game is assuming I completed it and still have the bag from the first play
Just want to confirm this is correct and not some bug from me using a mod or something

iirc that's right, and you only get next early bag from the rover quest - been a while since i played Elite without merit tho so i might remember wrong

edit. just checked gamepedia and it's indeed right https://grimdawn.gamepedia.com/And_Not_a_Drop_to_Drink

Merits only give you what you skip by going to next diff, if you want those bonus skill points, you will need to go back and do quests, which may be not that fun. Especially if you didnt unlock any of the portals.

Incorrect. You get all inventory bags you would get and also all skill/attribute points from quests that you would have gotten on the lower difficulties as well. And all riftgates on lower difficulties are unlocked as well.

Amazing how large the difference is between Veteran and Elite. I like difficult games, but almost wish there was a halfway point between the two. Anyhoo holding my own, it's fun not just running around mowing everything down by holding one button.

Honestly if you can handle Veteran then Elite should be extremely easy to adjust to.

If Normal is a 1, the baseline super easy, then Veteran is 1.5. Elite would be 2. Ultimate a 3 (some might argue that it rates higher even).

Of course you can also learn to mod with the tools and make the difficulties whatever you want them to be with a little learning.

I just need better gear. Mine pretty much all sucks right now and still trying to get my resistances up. Saved a ton from my veteran run in the shared stash unfortunately can use much of it til level 50
I'm loving the difficulty - what do you call them the monster shrines that release like 5 heroes, I actually lost a half level worth of xp from dying over and over from getting 1 or two hitted.

Little off topic but I recently got Titan Quest on sale for 5 bucks. Planning on trying that next, however I don't think I got any of the DLC with it.
