Ugdenbog Flamethrower resistance reduction?

This weapon gives:
-16% Fire Resistance to Summon Guardian of Empyrion

What does it mean?
It's unlikely to be a bonus to their weapon damage as it has no duration. Then is it a bonus to Celestial Presence and doesn't work at all if I don't have it? If so, shouldn't it be written as "-16% Fire Resistance to Celestial Presence" instead?

Or maybe it is a bonus to their weapon damage that is active as long as their burn damage is applied?

Also worth noting you can get a nice Ugdenbog Flamethrower by farming the merchant Vinelton in the Skeleton Key Ancient Grove, just go back/forward between 2 maps to reset his list.
The added bonus will be the various recipes so make sure you have plenty of iron bits.
Might take about 45mins to get a really nice rifle though, depends how much of a farming type player you can be; although this approach can be pretty important on self found gear only play through with any of the special merchants.

That said hopefully you will have found some of the nice epic/legendary by the time you need to do this and especially the Mythical Hellborne as really nice for an OK range build, but a L94 legendary so who knows when it will drop for you.

Lol.. honestly in that time I can just do a nice Totem tour and have basically a guaranteed Epic rifle drop (usually 1-2 of the ones above ^^) ..I really dislike green MIs unless absolutely unavoidable (eg: AAR-builds). Ofc, Players without ForgottenGods are fu-kd, but not my problem.. most veterans have FG by now and use Totems

And yet for the many hours I have done Totems/SR on Ultimate I still ended up doing 2 hours getting getting two very specific Bloodsworn rings for my current char :)
As I mentioned I would like to think he would get one of the nice Epic/Legendary rifles that has synergy with OK but you can never guarantee it. same way I have not see a single piece of BiS regarding Mythical Bysmiel set or Mythical Beastcaller set.... not one single piece dropped yet.
Made a set of Ghol and others instead though lol, but point is we cannot guarantee what will drop in the X hours of play.

As I already had the helm - it gave +4k DPS immediately, and nice fireballs in addition.

Blue stuff drops a ton during leveling.. and that´s the main point in this thread. Once you hit Lv.90+ and enjoy Ultimate.. well, Purple stuff has it´s own rules

@ovtchina: Sure, the ones I listed are the best stuff till ~Lv.84+ ..with full Brimstone/FlameKeeper-Sets even 94+

I am sure that is comfort to his ears when he is L90s and his epic rifle is no longer that useful when after something that has synergy with Oathkeepr :)
Like I said comes down to what drops, and that matters more in 90s than anytime before that.

And just checking my log for current char the rifles dropping in that range.
I think I can say I was lucky to see a Mythical Hellborne while non of the epic rifles that did drop would fit his build; this is to SR55 and multiple skeleton dungeons/totems all Ultimate.

With the recent buffs to some demo skills, I went and rolled a purifer finally. I had a 94 Myth Hellborne or whatever its called drop in crucible the other day so that sealed the deal.

Since the nerf in damage to the meteor shower proc, would it be better to go with say a elemental seeker devotion setup instead?
