Gunslinger lvl40 no class loot

Hey guys. Playing with a new Pyromancer gunslinger build. So far i am lvl 40 but didnt manage to get any good pistols. Its like non of them are droping at all. i get tons of epic two handed axes, swords, pants and that stuff for lvl 40/50+
but i am running around with marauders justice/ fury for lvl 26 guys...

No unique one handed is dropping at all...
this is getting frustrating... farming for the last 5+ hours and nothing...

do you guys have any tips for lvl 40 gunslinger gear drops?

well, they do not drop to or are useless. in the last 5 hours looting, i got only 2 green one handed ranged drops.
and 2 green (for my gunslinger useless) two handed ranged.

but dozens of epic swords/ axes and stuff, like i said above. this is rediculus

There are a few decent epic pistols at level 50. Grind it out using another weapon set if necessary. That's what I did and then I switched to pistols.

26 -> 40 is not a long time to go without upgrades, particularly if you're only picking up green+ (or worse, blue+) and are not looking at faction/vendor items.

My suggestion? Either start looking at the vendors (yes, even for yellows: flat damage + attack speed is nothing to sniff at), go somewhere with level 40+ humanoid enemies/bosses that use pistols and start killing (they'll drop what they're using... you might get lucky), or keep going until your enemies get near level 50 where the very nice Deviltongue https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2389 can drop.

Any of those to about half way down the page (of greens) drop at 50 and below, just farm areas you find lots of those enemies. There are only 2 lvl 50 purple pistols and both are fairly rare drops in my experience mainly cause by the time you get to a point where you find more legendaries you have surpassed 58 and the chances of them dropping plummets. Beyond those there are only 2 which drop at 58, so i wouldnt wait around for a purple.

As for blues all these are great for that range

It comes down to RNG for the most part but you can farm some green pistols, provided you haven't outlevelled the zone (roughly 10 levels above enemies). Bloodsworn tend to carry handguns, so do the Wendigo in Ashes of Malmouth. Don't forget that you can also craft, provided you have the blueprints which are available at faction vendors.

Only rare crafting materials can be outlevelled like that. Hearts, Bloods, Brains, etc. Other stuff - go crazy with your level 100 character. If you don't mind being bored to tears.

attack speed and flat damage is all you need for a DW build. there are yellow affixes for both, so check the vendors and teleport back and forth a few times to regenerate their wares.. quickly browse over the pistols and take a second look at any yellow "of Alacrity". if it also has flat damage of your preferred damage type, that's basically a BIS item right there.

Yep....just what I would suggest. Oathbreaker is awesome for a pyromancer and I wouldnt use anything else until I found either Darkblaze Incinerator (Level 94) or Exterminus (Level 75). The DarkBlaze set is the endgame set for a Pyro imho.

Yeah darkblaze is definitely top of the class for a Pyro, mainly cause its so much easier to gear for and stack chaos damage and rr compared to fire. Fire and lightning both struggle a bit with RR but fire especially always feels kinda lacking in the late game.

Im still waiting for the pesky darkblaze hood to drop its one of 3 sets i cant seem to complete that have builds waiting on them :/

Me too. I have been farming the key dungeons for a week now and get plenty of garbage vanillas but no BPs. I also try to farm Moose and Valdaran as they are easy kills for my Pyro but the Nemesis chests are dropping crap now too.

I have also learned that the mines are actually effective for the Chaos RR....not so much for the fire though. Then again, my build mostly focuses on Chaos so it is probably a scaling effect I see.

Yeah i asked this a while ago if nemesis chest got a nerf bat i wasnt aware of cause honestly they seem to drop utter crud recently I get better loot from standard large chests most of the time :(

I know where all the pistols are, they're in my stash. I'm playing a 2-handed melee warder and have collected 5 or 6 unique pistols so far. Meanwhile I'm still trying to complete one set... :/

There are no specific locations for non-monster infrequent drops. It's just RNG, that's all there is to say about it, honestly. What you're experiencing is well within the expectations for what you'll most likely experience throughout the game.
