Guardian of Empyrion Really Hurt
it hurt myself alot, if you had 3 of it and enemy has damage retaliation you can't disband it eaither forcing you to drink alot of potion or just run away. any other survival tips on using it? because pyran templar that go full guardian of empyrion is just a one ticket to death if meeting with retaliation enemy. i have 62% reflect damage reduction btw, and it still hurt af.

Retaliation and Reflection are two different damage types. Reflection reduction does nothing when it comes to Retaliation damage and vis versa.

retaliation depends on what kind of retal damage the enemy has? and reflection reflect whatever damage the guardian has?

i am not sure if there is any build that max guardian and blade spirit with may be nemesis relic, if there is then the retal or reflect enemy will be a nightmare?

well i was fighting milton, he drop a shield that has 1000+ physical retaliation after hes dead (not from spoil), i have 3 of guardian of empyrion that probalby dealing less physical damage because most of it already converted to elemental.

Bind pet command somewhere and force guardians to retreat. Though you probably have some build issues if reflected guardians hurt so much.

Normal builds don't have huge physical resistance and by the amount of damage it does I think retaliation damage ignores armor.

Retaliation explicitly doesn't trigger in range - it's melee only. The way things USUALLY work in GD - I wasn't up to date with immortalization of player-pets - is that retaliation will only affect guardians themselves.

Now, reflect is a different issue. But even that takes effort to suicide with.

well this is the build still theory, if you want to check:
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/YNnOJ0b2
kinda discourage to continue because retaliation, i still need alot of farming and here my condition:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2180566342
almost get killed because retaliation twice.

will rebuke from oathkeeper help?

They do not respond to the Function key Pet all even when regular pets summoned, but they will respond to using Pet Attack/Move on the right mouse button.
So forced to use the right mouse button for Pets Attack/Move from my experience for these kind of pets (tested as well with Guardian Empyrion as have a build with them) if it is an issue on what they attack, same applies to such as Revenant devotion/etc.

Anyone know the worst monsters to face that have very strong retaliation rather than reflection?
I would had thought it being more rare than reflection but without an aura for retaliation it must be a nightmare to tell and know for sure how prevalent it is.

sadly no, if you meet retal enemy you must have good resistance, and Physical retal mostly gonna hurt you alot.
